  OUR PRIVACY COMMITMENT

Baltimore Equitable Society
And 1794 Insurance Services LLC
(a wholly-owned subsidiary)

Congress recently passed the Gramm/Leach/Bliley Financial Modernization Act (GLB) that deals, in part, with how financial institutions treat nonpublic personal financial information. For over 200 years Baltimore Equitable Society has been committed to maintaining the confidentiality of our policyholders. We appreciate this opportunity to clarify our privacy practices for you as a result of this new law.
  • When you apply for insurance with us, you disclose a certain amount of “nonpublic personal financial information” (personal information) to us. This information includes that which we receive from you by phone or mail, in applications or in other forms that you may complete for us as a part of any transactions with us and may include your name, address and driver’s license number.

  • Depending on the nature of your transactions with us, we may share this personal information with your agent, our insurance affiliate, and certain nonaffiliated third parties that perform a business, professional or insurance function for our company, as allowed by law, such as inspection bureaus, reinsurance companies and the Motor Vehicle Administration.

  • We maintain this personal information within our files and restrict access to this personal information to authorized individuals who use it to provide services and products for you.

  • We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that protect your personal information.

  • We do not disclose any personal information about you or any former policyholders to anyone without your permission or as allowed by law.
You do not need to call or do anything as a result of this notice. It is meant to inform you of how we safeguard your nonpublic personal information. You may wish to file this notice with your insurance papers.

If you would like to see our complete privacy statement, please call contact us at 410-727-1794 and we will send you a copy in the mail.

Baltimore Equitable Society holds in high regard the trust that you, our policyholders, place in us. It is our pleasure to put into words the philosophy about privacy that we have had for over 200 years.
