Company, the nationally recognized authority on evaluating
insurance companies, reviews the financial status of thousands
of insurers. Using this research, Best assigns each company
a grade.
This rating reflects Best's opinion of the relative financial
strength and operating performance of an insurance company
in comparison to the norms of the Property/Casualty industry.
The Best Rating is assigned after an extensive analysis utilizing
a series of Profitability, Leverage, and Liquidity tests,
which measure the performance of the past five years in such
vital areas as:
- Competency of Underwriting
- Control of Expenses
- Adequacy of Reserves
- Soundness of Investments
- Capital Sufficiency
The A.M. Best Company has examined Baltimore Equitable Society
and rated it A+. This rating is reserved for companies
that have achieved SUPERIOR overall performance when compared
to the norms of the Property/Casualty insurance industry and
have shown the strongest ability to meet their policyholder
and other contractual obligations.
